Ironman Race Day


The hard work has been done, so just enjoy the day. My top tips are:-

1) plan for anything and everthing.

2) Go easy for the first half of the bike. Your aim is to finishes feeling strong.

3) Keep the calories and fluid going in. You should need to pee by half way through the bike if you are drinking enough.

4) Start the run easy, walk every third aid station. If you still feel good at 32km then let rip!!!!

5) When the going gets tough out there relax and think about naughty monkys having fun!

6) Enjoy the day, smile for the finish photo and don't stop the watch (it spoils a special picture).
