About me: Rich coached me for 4 yrs, whilst I studied at Kelly College. During this time he guided me to 8th place at the 2006 Common Wealth Games in Melbourne, 2nd at the 2006 World Junior Champs, in Lausaane, Switzerland and 3 World Cup top 10s and go me to the 2008 Beijing Olympics,

Things went unbelievably well for me in 2006 but I’ve faced my fair share of challenges  including severe migraines when I was younger, shin problems that lasted about 3 years and a broken arm (suffered in a “fun” triathlon!!).  And not that long ago I was a bit depressed about how things were going.  My first Junior Worlds in Japan was a disaster and not long before that in my first ever Olympic distance event, the 2005 Windsor Triathon I ran a 48 minute 10k!   True, it was hot and hilly but now I’m looking for sub 36’s. Anyway whatever struggles I’ve had it was all worth it when I came across the line 8th in front of thousands and thousands of people at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. I shocked quite a few people - actually everyone, including me!!
